According to UNCTAD, foreign direct investment into Africa fell to US$59 billion in 2016,down by 3% from US$61 billion in 2015. This is the fifth consecutive year of decline. 57% of the total reported investment was earned by Angola, Egypt, Nigeria, Ghana and Ethiopia. Figures should be treated with caution, as they are regular reviewed by national organisms.
