Since May 7, Albert Heijn has been testing an in-store route application in its Hoofddorp supermarket, Netherlands. It is similar to a GPS service, which guides customers in-store according to their shopping list. A similar service already exists on Albert Heijn’s mobile app called “Appie”. Designed in collaboration with Philips Lighting and Aisle411, this app also offers promotions and discounts depending on which aisle the customer locates.
