According to data released by payment service provider Mollie, the use of Buy Now Pay Later payment methods (BNPL) increased by 51% in Europe during the Black Friday period, compared to the same period in 2020.

Mollie analysed data coming from over 125,000 merchants, mainly in Germany, the U.K., France, the Netherlands and Belgium.

The phenomenon has not escaped the attention of Microsoft, which announced the integration of BNPL’s Zip solution directly into the Edge browser.
