British retailers are up in arms over the 2025 budget, presented at the end of October. Between increases in a minimum wage, the introduction of union rights and additional health insurance contributions, they anticipate a year of austerity for their sector.
On November 18, 2024, in a letter addressed to UK‘s Finance Minister Rachel Reeves, 81 retail executives warned of the consequences of the reform plan.
