Majid Al Futtaim, Carrefour’s exclusive franchisor in the Middle East region, has just signed a major deal with the Egyptian government for one billion Euros. MAF will almost triple its footprint in the country from 37 active stores in late 2017 (i.e. 11 hypermarkets and 25 supermarkets) as it plans to open around 100 additional units.
