In the US, on January 28, 2026, Home Depot (2025 revenue: US$164.7 billion, up by 3.2% after 4.5% in 2024, net margin at 8.6% of revenue compared to 9.3% a year earlier) announced the layoff of 800 staff. These include 150 people at the Atlanta headquarters and other remote workers, mainly in technology teams and corporate functions. This represents 0.2% of the workforce.
