As the fashion sector is increasingly driven by consumer demands, an array of international retailers has abandoned the historical “seasonal” calendar, removing the previously traditional Spring and Autumn collection cycles. As some of the most dynamic luxury retailers, Balenciaga, Mulberry and Gucci have adopted this trans-seasonal approach. Last year, Burberry also named collections simply as so-called “February” and “September”, as part of a ‘see-now-buy-now’ strategy.
