After more than 5 months of delays, the first Ikea store in Morocco(covering 26,000 sq.m, with an investment of €40 million) is expected to open on March 16, 2016. The store will be in Zenata, the new city near Casablanca. The store is housed in the Zenata Shopping Centre, built through a joint venture between the Portuguese developer Sonae Sierra, Al Futtaim Group from Dubai and Marjane Holding, the Moroccan chain of supermarkets.
