After a period of financial difficulties (EBITDA down 40% in the 9 months to end-November 2023), The Body Shop (900 directly-operated stores and 1,600 franchises worldwide, 7,000 staff, including 2,568 in the U.K.) saw the British business filed for bankruptcy on February 13, 2024. The business is under insolvency supervision by consultancy firm FRP.
