On March 3, 2026, Italian tax authorities announced the seizure of €27.4 million from two Italian subsidiaries of French supply chain specialist CEVA Logistics, itself a subsidiary of the Marseille-based CMA CGM group. Prosecutors in Milan accuse these subsidiaries of issuing false invoices between 2020 and 2024 in order to conceal the use of low-cost labour, thereby circumventing labour and tax laws to avoid paying taxes and social security contributions.
