L’Occitane confirmed the purchase of high-end British rival Elemis, specialising with face care and spa-therapy. In 2018, net sales of Elemis reached US$140 million, up by 27%. The deal should be completed by the end of March 2019. With this move, L’Occitane’s sales would grow to US$1.95 billion by 2021 (Bloomberg Intelligence).
