According to the 32nd edition of the Deloitte survey among 5,000 U.S. consumers in September, online retail spending during the holiday season 2017 is expected to outpace in-store spending. Consumers expect to spend 51% of their budget online, exceeding in-store spending for the first time ever. For the most affluent households, the online spending reaches higher proportions. U.S. households earning US$100,000 or more per year are expected to spend 57% of their budget online.
