The Thai Retailers Association (TRA) recently predicted that Thailand’s retail industry in 2018 would grow between 3.3% and 3.5% for the entire year. This is despite flat growth in the first 6 months due to weak spending in rural areas. According to Colliers International Thailand, 8 retail projects are already open in the first 6 months, concentrating on shopping centers and community malls. There are more than 11 retail projects due to be opened in the second half of 2018.
