YSL Beauté (owned by L’Oréal, as is Lancome and Kiehl) registered a record for the most sales by a cosmetics brand during its first day on Tmall. Over 24 hours, sales reached US$6 million with 1.2 million registered Tmall users. More than 50% of YSL Beauté clients were aged 18 to 25, and 22% were aged from 26 to 30. This is a much younger audience than the average of 27 for customers in stores who buy YSL Beaute.
