Saudi Arabian unemployment passed 12% in late June 2019. This represents over a million people seeking work, including 30% of these aged between 25 and 29. In the current context of economic slowdown and falling foreign investment, the Kingdom is unable to find full employment for all citizens, especially young people. A partial solution is to attract up to 30 million tourists by 2030 (compared with 12 million in 2018), boosting employment for Saudis notably in the hospitality and retail sector
