With 37,500 restaurants by the end of 2021 (including 20,000 in the U.S.), Subway plans to open 700 restaurants in Thailand by 2032, in partnership with local franchisor About Passion.

According to the privately held company, which does not disclose revenue, Subway’s sales grew 20% from 2020. C.E.O. John Chidsey did not specify how much was due to inflation (which reached 6.1% for food in the U.S. in 2021).
