Taco Bell, a subsidiary of U.S. giant Yum-Brands, has signed a franchising agreement with Sforza, a holding company owned by local entrepreneur Carlos Wizard Martins. The first 3 outlets should be open in Sao Paulo by October 2016, covering between 60 sq.m and 120 sq.m, with an initial investment of US$30.6 million. “Even in the current economic situation, the fast-food retail business grew by 12% in 2015 in Brazil”, said Yum Brands.
