The British restaurant chain Wagamama opened its first Spanish restaurant in April 2017. This 335-sq.m unit houses 180 seats and is located in Calle Serrano, Madrid, for an investment of €600,000. The master franchisee is Grupo Vips, which manages Wagamama’s expansion in Spain and Portugal. In March 2017, Wagamama also opened a first unit in Bulgaria in Sofia (180 seats including 40 on the terrace) via a franchising agreement with Cinema Entertainment.
