The grocery giant is testing a home delivery service consisting of its own network of independent drivers. The service is a crowdsourced delivery-driver network relying on drivers using their own cars to make deliveries. The service is called Spark Delivery, and with the new service, Wal-Mart aims to offer home grocery delivery to 100 metro areas by the end of the year. Walmart uses Delivery Drivers Inc. to help recruit, vet and pay drivers.
