On May 14, about 32 global brands signed an agreement to improve safety conditions in textile factories in Bangladesh. This initiative was launched by the IndustriAll and Uni global unions as well as NGOs following the fire at a building harboring western brands’ suppliers, killing over 1,100. (Ref. 130325)
