Trade union representatives of the Arcelor-Mittal group, brought together by the International Metalworkers' Federation (IMF) during a world conference organized in Montréal (Canada) on September 17, 2007, commit to establish an international works council. Participants also asked for the extension of the international framework agreement to the group's new perimeter, as well as a commitment from the management in favour of a joint program for health and security.
