Tough times ahead for Argentina’s auto jobs sector. While the auto union Smata pursues quarterly wage raises negotiations for the sector, different automakers continue to multiply both technical and partial unemployment measures. In a bid to protect jobs the Senate recently approved a law providing tax breaks for automakers that use Argentina-made car parts.
