On 5 March, the Argentinian government published a decree banning clauses included in collective agreements that impose compulsory contributions on companies to fund employer organisations, even if they are not affiliated to them. From now on, they will be able to decide whether to pay a contribution voluntarily, and this contribution may be suspended at any time.
A decree issued on 5 March 2025 ends the obligation for companies, which are included in certain collective agreements, to pay contributions to employer organisations. “Collective agreements may no longer impose contributions, levies or any other type of charges for the benefit of employers’ organisations, associations or groups,” states the decree, “unless these charges are accepted voluntarily” by the companies.
