Argentina: government provides assurances on upcoming labour reform, ahead of legislative elections
While no timetable or specific measures have been announced up until now, the Argentinian government has progressively painted a picture of its upcoming labour reform by a series of statements to specialised press. The push to reform is due to initiate after mid-term legislative elections, ending on Sunday 22 October and which the government is expected to win. With the promise that it will not draw inspiration from the Brazilian model (see article n°10312 on the recent reform in the country), the government plans a gradual shift, one sector at a time.
