The government adopted, on May 24, a strategic plan to fight against social fraud, which aims at optimizing the operation of these services. It also announced its intention to fight against the phenomenon of fake self-employed workers. (Ref. 06561)

This reform was conducted with the four services of Belgian inspections: the social Inspection, the Checking of social laws, the ONSS Inspection (social security) and the ONEM Inspection (unemployment insurance system) with the Attorney General of Liege which is in charge of social fraud. The plan includes two aspects.

Fight against frauds related to contributions and allowances: the intervention of inspection services as regards frauds on contributions and allowances will be mainly civil...
