Based on discussions with the social partners, the government intends to launch 22 initiatives to modernise the labour market. The government's objective is to successfully "sign a balanced, progressive, inter-professional agreement" before the end of the year. (Ref. 06536)
Technical working groups made up of representatives from the government and the social partners began on 22nd May and a tripartite meeting (cabinet select committee, employers and trade unions) is scheduled for 31st May. The parties will then discuss the timetable for decisions relating to these initiatives and their form. In all cases, consultation with the social partners will take place before any decision is taken by the government. Discussions will cover 22 subjects approved at the meeting
