Based on discussions with the social partners, the government intends to launch 22 initiatives to modernise the labour market. The government's objective is to successfully "sign a balanced, progressive, inter-professional agreement" before the end of the year. (Ref. 06536)

Technical working groups made up of representatives from the government and the social partners began on 22nd May and a tripartite meeting (cabinet select committee, employers and trade unions) is scheduled for 31st May. The parties will then discuss the timetable for decisions relating to these initiatives and their form.
