Belgium: training at the center of new anticrisis measures

Recruit jobseekers as formers. The first measures should allow employees let go as part of a restructuring program to be hired as trainers or guides. They may be recruited by public training or employment services, sectoral funds, associations recognized as training or support organizations, or even teaching establishments recognized by a federal entity. These employers can appeal to these trainers if they sign an agreement with the Employment Ministry promising to increase their training offer in exchange for this recruitment. The people concerned need to be at least 45 or give evidence of five years of professional experience. They will receive €1,100 in unemployment benefits which will be taken from the net salary paid by the employer and €1,000 in contribution cuts every quarter.
