Belgium: unions divided over the single employee/worker status
The social partners recently failed to reach an agreement on the matter of harmonizing statuses for blue-collar and white-collar workers, thus passing it on the government which still needs to present its ‘basic’ proposal. Unions are mobilizing for this harmonization but they are divided, which even shows in their schedule. Deploring the fact that unions are not standing together, the CSC is about to launch an information campaign on April 17 and April 22, while the FGTB and CNE (white-collar workers’ union) called for a day of action on April 25.
