55.800 employees of BNP Paribas in 71 countries subscribed to the increase in capital which was reserved for them, for a total amount of 282,5 million euros. Following this operation, employees own more than 5% of the company's capital . (Ref. 06777)
Like each year, the employees of the French banking group had the possibility to invest their profit-sharing schemes (between 3.700 and 10.700 euros per employee) in BNP Paribas stocks, proposed at a preferential price (60,5 euros). Furthermore, the company granted an extra amount of stocks to each employee involved . All in all, an employee who invested 1.500 euros of profit-sharing in stocks, now has a capital of 2.500 euros.
