Brazil: supervision of the right to strike in public services postponed to 2014

Brazil postponed to 2014 the adoption of a law on an obligation of minimum service in public services when there is a strike, after several meetings between the Members of Parliament and the social partners in recent months failed.  They disagree on the bill’s measures.  (Ref.  130826)

The last-chance meeting between union representatives and MPs to reach, in 2013, an agreement on the supervision of the right to strike in public services failed on Tuesday, December 17.
