On 15 April, Canada’s House of Commons approved on third reading a bill to support the creation of sustainable jobs for workers and growth in a low-carbon economy. The text, which still has to be examined by the Senate, creates a new Partnership Council made up of worker and employer representatives, as well as representatives of indigenous peoples and environmental NGOs.
