The minimum wage in Chile will rise from 460,000 to 500,000 pesos gross per month from today (from €533 to €580), as provided for in the law of 29 May 2023, representing an increase of 8.7%. The text set out an increase of almost 22% to be applied in stages “to limit the effect on the economy, employment and SMEs”, said Jeanette Jara, minister for labour and social security.
