While the government is preparing a law for pay equality, the institution in charge of defending women's rights (Sernam, Servicio nacional de la mujer) will award a distinction to private and public businesses which encourage the promotion of executive women, fill in the gender pay gap and introduce programs for work-life balance. After making an inventory for the last couple years, of a series of good practices in terms of gender equality at work, Chilean authorities presented the Iguala label which will be awarded to companies which distinguish themselves through initiatives in this domain.
