Chile's Chamber of Deputies have approved a minimum wage rise of 22%, which will take effect on 1 July 2024. Passed by the lower house on Wednesday 10 May, the plans also provide for state assistance to SMEs, the level of which will be set according to the size of the company.
The Chamber of Deputies approved a fresh minimum wage rise in Chile on Wednesday 10 May (120 votes for, 24 against). The level of pay will increase gradually, rising to 500,000 pesos (€580) per month in July 2024 compared to 410,000 pesos (€475) today, marking a hike of almost 22%.
