China: workplace discrimination against pregnant women on the rise

Cela fait d’ailleurs l’objet d’une campagne de sensibilisation par voie de presse, très officielle : en lançant le hashtag en chinois #IlEstInterditDeLicencierUneEmployéeEnceinte, le Legal Daily, une publication d’État, orchestre un rappel à la loi.

Dans un de ses billets en ligne sur son compte Weibo, le Legal Daily reproduit l’article 5 des “Dispositions spéciales sur la protection du travail des employées” de 2012, qui interdit aux employeurs de réduire le salaire des employées ou de mettre fin à leur contrat de travail en raison d’une grossesse, d’un accouchement ou de l’allaitement.
