On 26 October, the government announced the extension of incentives granted to companies for the creation and maintenance of new formal jobs, until 2026. Employers who increase their wage bill from May 2023 will be eligible for a subsidy. The subsidy is calculated on the basis of the legal minimum monthly wage – 1,160,000 pesos per month (around €267) – and varies according to the number of people hired.
