Corporate practices: Danish companies Novo Nordisk and Novozymes implement policies to raise female participation at senior management
On March 08, International Women’s Day, the daily publication Berlingke Tidende examined the steps being taken by both Novo Nordisk and Novozymes* to bring more females into management positions. Last year Novo Nordisk succeeded in women having 34% of new senior management level positions whilst Novozymes recorded an equivalent 42%. Yet while both companies have chosen very different approaches they do see the need to change both mentalities and the ‘male culture’ that is symptomatic at management level.
