Italy’s 2012-2014 action plan on CSR, released on April 16 by the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Economic Development, aims to spread a ‘multi-stakeholders’ approach, to set up ways of rewarding and improving the visibility of socially responsible practices, and to encourage transparent information. Spread the CSR culture. Since the European Commission’s Green Paper in 2001, central/regional governments, universities and the social partners have carried out several actions to raise awareness on CSR. For 2012-2014, the plan adopts a “multistakeholders” policy in order to overcome “businesses’ one-sided approach” and to encourage dialogue between the public and private spheres.
