The agreement on Cytec’s EWC was signed in Graz, Austria, on June 19, 2007, between the American chemistry group’s management and the eight members of the special negotiations’ body. The latter was composed of two Belgian representatives (600 employees in Belgium), and of one representative for each of the following countries: Germany, Austria (473), Spain (123), Italy (160), the Netherlands (60), and Norway (61). The American chemistry group Cytec (6.700 employees) established a European works council under the aegis of Belgian legislation to ensure the representation of European employees (almost 1.900 employees) spread out in ten countries from the European union and in Norway. (Ref. 070595)
