On 13 December, Czech labour minister Marian Jurecka announced an increase in the minimum wage that will take effect from 1 January 2024. The wage level will rise from 17,300 to 18,900 koruna per month (around €708 to €773) for a working week of 40 hours. This hike, which represents an increase of 9.2% compared with 2023, should affect almost 1.5 million employees.
