In a country with one of the lowest levels of pay in the EU, unions are attempting to secure wage rises from both foreign companies and their subcontractors.
Limited pay rise for workers at Bosch Diesel. The Bosch Diesel plant at Jihlava is one of the biggest diesel production facilities in the EU. Recent negotiations have led to pay rises of 6% for the next two years while inflation is running at about 0.3%.
