On September 9, 2008, the Baltic bank group Danske Bank, the International trade union federation UNI Global, its sectoral federation, UNI Finance, and six national trade unions (*) signed, in Copenhagen, an international framework agreement to promote and guarantee workers' rights throughout all its subsidiaries. This agreement, which will concern about 24.000 workers, will be applicable in all the companies directly controlled by the group, i.e. those in which Danske Bank owns a majority of the capital or a majority of voting rights, or even where it appoints more than half the members of the management or administrative bodies.
