In recent years employee complaints over work related violence outside of working hours especially from social workers and banking employees have risen significantly. …Denmark: employers now have to warn their staff of work related violence outside of normal working hours and also on the Internet
On January 22, the Danish parliament adopted changes to the law covering the workplace. These changes include creating a legal basis for extending companies’ obligations to warn employees of work related violence outside of regular working hours. Going forward employers will have to assess the risk of violence, threats, and harassment to their employees during their free time and design an action policy to address the issue ranging from prevention to victim support. The Minister for Employment still has to define the practical arrangements.
