Denmark: hotel/catering social partners reach agreement renewing collective agreement
On February 16, the 3F Privat Service Hotel og Restauration union and Horesta for employers reached an agreement to renew the collective agreement in the hotel and catering industry. It covers 60,000 cooks, waiters, room maids and receptionists. Signed for 3 years, it introduces a new wage system that is advantageous for skilled waiters, in order to get unskilled waiters (85 percent of the sector) to train. It also gives apprentices more influence over their working conditions and improves collective bargaining.
