On April 30, the government presented its employment policy reform. It aims to put an end to red tape and for “identical services for all” to focus on jobseekers, offering them training that is tailored to their needs, with specific efforts for low-skilled jobseekers. It also improves cooperation between job centers and businesses, helping the latter recruit.
“By putting people without a job in the center, we are going to improve their access to stable employment,” explained Labor Minister Mette Frederiksen when presenting the employment policy reform on April 30. The government believes its plan will notably increase the employment of people who would otherwise have trouble finding a job, up to 3,500 in 2020 and 5,700 in the longer run.
