Denmark: the Ministry of Labor’s legislative program for 2013-14

On October 1, Labor Minister Mette Frederiksen presented her Ministry’s legislative program at the start of the Parliamentary year.  It provides for 10 bills affecting, among other things, the temporary unemployment allowance for jobseekers about to lose their rights, bonuses for families taking more balanced parental leaves, the extension of the number of businesses having to compile pay statistics differentiated per gender, and the amendment of the law on alien recruitment to appeal to more skilled workers.  (Ref.  130589)

Amending unemployment insurance. Presented to Parliament last week, this bill implies amending several laws – that on unemployment insurance, that on the active employment policy, that on the introduction of temporary unemployment benefits (Midlertidig arbejdsmarkedsydelse).
