The European Metalworkers' Federation of (EMF) which called for a "European Action Day on March 16, 2007, against the Power 8 restructuring plan", indicated in a press release the actions which will be undertaken at the national level. (Ref. 070233)

In Germany, all seven Airbus production sites will strike, and a mass demonstration will be held in Hamburg at which 20,000 participants are expected. Speakers will include, among others, Jürgen Peters, the President of IG Metall. In Spain, work will cease for one hour at the three Airbus production sites and also at sites owned by the EADS Group. Demonstrations will take place in front of each factory’s gates. Approximately 9,000 workers will take part in actions according to the EMF. Finally,
