The Dublin foundation has just published its quarterly report (*) on reorganizations in Europe. If job cuts remain important, their creations are nonetheless higher. (Ref. 070403)
420 reorganization cases were recorded in 2007’s first trimester. If they should translate into 132,762 layoffs once they are over, the report underlined that fact that reorganizations do not necessarily mean job cuts: 4,870 jobs were thus created in the first trimester of 2007 after several reorganization operations.
