On March 11, the European social partners in the rail industry adopted joint recommendations on psychosocial risks in the railway sector to identify and prevent psychosocial risks. Thus, they want to improve the quality of employees’ working conditions and health and to reduce the costs linked to these risks for companies. The recommendations especially focus on prevention and present specific measures to reduce psychosocial risks.
These joint recommendations cover the passenger and cargo rail transport industry and were signed by the two European social partners involved in the European sectoral social dialogue committee: the European Transport workers Federation (ETF) for employees and the Community of European Railways (CER) for businesses.
