The European adopted, on May 30, the document launching he second step in the consultation of European social partners on the conciliation of private and professional life. It invites social partners to negotiate or give their opinion on the improvement tracks it mentions: creating new leaves, make parental leave more flexible. (Ref. 070472)
Initially planned for May 10, 2007 (see our story n° 070419), the European Commission had to postpone the publishing of this document concerning the consultation of European social partners to include the observations gathered as part of their prior consultation… this consultation fits into a wider approach of EU support to family policies in order to take up the demographic challenge (see our stories n°061225, n°070419 and n°06999.)
